From Island-Hopping to Adventure Sports

El Nido is famous for its island-hopping trips through Bacuit Bay, a spectacular archipelago of limestone islands and small islets surrounded by clear turquoise waters.

In Coron, the main island-hopping trips explore Coron Island, located just across from Coron Town on Busuanga Island.
Highlights include Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, Barracuda Lake and Siete Pecados Marine Park. Island hopping and snorkelling are among the main activities, with opportunities to swim in crystal-clear waters and explore the area’s rich marine life.

Getting There

When it comes to accessibility, El Nido is generally easier to reach than Coron, thanks to its own airport and a wider range of travel options.
Cebu Pacific operates direct flights to El Nido from Cebu, Boracay (Caticlan), Clark and Bohol.
These flights arrive at Lio Airport, just a short drive from El Nido town.
Another option is to fly into Puerto Princesa, the main airport and major transport hub of Palawan, with frequent flights from Manila and other major cities.
From Puerto Princesa, El Nido can be reached by road in around 5 to 6 hours.
El Nido can also be reached from Coron by direct flight or ferry, making it easy to combine both destinations in one trip.

Getting There

Coron is accessed through Francisco B. Reyes Airport (Busuanga), the only airport serving the area. Coron Town is located on Busuanga Island, around 45 minutes by road from the airport.
Daily flights are available from Cebu and Clark, operated by Cebu Pacific, Sunlight Air and Philippine Airlines.
Another option is travelling by sea. 2GO Ferry operates an overnight ferry service from Manila to Coron, providing an alternative for travellers who prefer not to fly. While slightly less connected than El Nido, Coron is still relatively easy to reach, with regular domestic flights and ferry services.
El Nido and Coron are also connected by daily ferry and flight services, making it convenient to include both destinations in the same itinerary.

Nearby Corong Corong and Las Cabanas also have a number of bars and beachfront spots, particularly popular around sunset, offering a more relaxed atmosphere with beautiful views.
There are also a few bars and restaurants around Lio Beach, although this area is considerably quieter than El Nido Town, Corong Corong and Las Cabanas.

Coron Town has a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere in the evenings. The main commercial hub and busiest strip is centred around Real Street, where many of the town’s popular restaurants and bars are located.
