7:00 AM - Meet the Guide

Begin your trip to the Underground River by meeting your friendly tour guide at your hotel. From there, embark on a 2-hour drive north through rural landscapes until you reach Sabang.

- Registration and boat ride

Upon arrival in Sabang, proceed to the registration area. After checking in, wait for your assigned boat. Then, enjoy a short boat ride across the sea to reach the entrance of the Underground River National Park. From there, take a brief walk to the lagoon where the cave entrance is located.

- Underground River Exploration

Board a park-operated canoe equipped with a searchlight and navigate the subterranean river. Marvel at the breathtaking stalactite and stalagmite formations as you journey through the 1.5-kilometer stretch of the cave. As you reach the Cathedral, a grand chamber with an incredibly high ceiling, you’ll be inspired by its vast and awe-inspiring beauty.Your guide will provide an informative briefing on the history and significance of these natural wonders.

- Lunch

After the river tour, return to the pier and enjoy the lunch at a local restaurant.

- Zipline (Optional)

- Return to Puerto Princesa

The tour price is quoted per person and is based on a minimum of 2 participants, with a maximum of 6 people. For larger groups or a customized itinerary tailored to your specific needs, please contact us to request a personalized quote.

Puerto Princesa Environmental Fee

It's a one-time fee valid for 10 days. You pay it once, and it covers you for any tours or activities in Puerto Princesa during that 10-day window.
So using your example: if you're doing Underground River and Honda Bay, you only pay the Eco Tourism Development Fee (ETDF) once — on the day of your first tour (Underground River). When you go out for  Honda Bay afterward, you don't pay it again, as long as it's within those 10 days.

Cruise Inside the cave

The Underground River in Puerto Princesa is an incredible natural wonder that attracts visitors from all over the world. To explore this amazing cave system, we offer a 1.5 km cruise upstream into the cave.
To minimize the impact on the environment, we organize this trip with a shared boat.
Additionally, please be reminded that the park has a "no touching" policy for the rock formations, to preserve the natural beauty of the cave.

Cruise cut-off time

The cut-off time for visiting the Underground River is usually at 2:00 pm. However, in case of unfavorable sea conditions, the closing time may be set earlier for safety reasons. To make the most of your visit, it is advisable to reach Sabang no later than 10:00 am.

What to wear

It's a good idea to bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the tour, as the boat ride can be wet.

Continue to El Nido after the tour

After your tour of the Underground River in Sabang, you may want to continue your adventure to El Nido. For a hassle-free transfer experience, a private transfer can be arranged at an additional cost.

Optional Zipline

The zipline can be arranged at either Ugong Rock or Sabang Zipline for an additional fee, which can be paid directly on site.

Cancellation Policy

✅ Booking Fee: 5% Non-refundable
❌ 7 days before the travel date: 100% of the total (non-refundable)

🌧️ Cancellation Due to Bad Weather: Please note that the Underground River tour is subject to weather conditions, and the park may be closed at any time due to excessive rain or rough seas.
In case of inclement weather, we offer the option to reschedule the tour for another day. If rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund excluding non-refundable items such as the Audio Guide Fee and permits, which amount to PHP 510 per person.
If the tour is canceled halfway through, there will be no refund, but you will be taken to visit alternative sites in Sabang.
