Tour Notes

What is "Shooting the Rapids"?

“Shooting the Rapids” is the classic and most exciting way to experience Pagsanjan Falls. This thrilling 1- to 2-hour upstream canoe adventure takes you through a narrow tropical gorge.
Skilled local boatmen, known as bangkeros, expertly maneuver traditional wooden canoes against the strong river currents, navigating through rocky sections and rapids until reaching the Falls.

What should I wear and bring?

Get ready to get wet during the adventure, so it is recommended to wear quick-dry shorts, a rash guard, or swimwear.
For footwear, water shoes or strapped sandals are the best options. Avoid flip-flops, as they can easily come off and be carried away by the river currents.
Please bring a full change of clothes, a towel, and a dry bag to protect your electronics and personal belongings.
