Experience the allure of Filipino country life at Villa Escudero.

Villa Escudero was founded in the 1880s by Don Placido Escudero and his wife Dona Claudia Marasigan as a coconut and sugar cane plantation.

In 1981, the estate was opened to the public and has become known worldwide as a showcase for the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage.

There are many activities to do at Villa Escudero: Walk through our museum, which houses one of the largest private collections of world antiquities in the country. Enjoy the Philippine Experience Show and see the country’s cultural heritage come to life. Paddle on a native bamboo raft on the still waters of the river. Explore our lush surroundings and observe many native bird species along the way. Or take a dip in our pool and relax.

Meet your guide at the hotel and drive about 2 hours south of Metro Manila to Villa Escudero.

This quaint and historic villa is set amidst a pastoral grove in a coconut plantation, a picturesque showcase of old plantation life. Guests tour the plantation aboard a cart pulled by a carabao (water buffalo) while serenaded by a local band.

The villa also has its own museum that houses the family’s extensive and interesting collection of historical, religious and cultural artifacts, some of which date back to prehispanic times. The highlight of your day could be a sumptuous lunch served under an artificial dam while you dip your feet in the cool waters of a nearby lagoon.

A dip in Villa Escudero’s spring-fed pools rounds out your memorable visit. After the tour, transfer to your hotel in Manila.
