Travel from Puerto Princesa City to Sabang village passing through rural countryside and then hop on a canoe and explore the world longest navigable Underground River.
Puerto Princesa’s Subterranean River is one of the world’s most impressive cave systems hailed as one of the new 7 wonders of the world and listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site.
The park features spectacular limestone karst landscapes, pristine natural beauty, and intact old-growth forests and distinctive wildlife.
Cruise
The cruise is about 1.5km upstream into the cave. In order to reduce the impact on the environment, we arrange this cruise with a shared boat.
It’s possible to proceed 4.3km into the underground river with a special permit at surcharge.
Hiking
The surrounding rainforest is part of the Subterranean River National Park, and offers world-class hiking and birdwatching. With the private tour, you can get from Sabang wharf to the cave entrance by boat, or walk 5km via the Jungle Trail (also known as Monkey Trail). Jungle Trail is at surcharge.
Pick up and Drop off
Hotel pick up/ drop off is included if you stay in a hotel within Puerto Princesa city center or airport.
The standard pick up time is between 7.00am / 7.30am. With the private tour, the pick up time is flexible and can be adjusted according to your flight details.
Cut off time for Underground River Cruise
The cut-off time for visiting the Underground River is usually at 2:00 pm. This can be set earlier if the sea conditions are not favorable (in the afternoon, the sea gets rough). It’s advisable to reach Sabang not later than 10:00am.

Best time to go
The best time to visit the Underground River is the dry season from October to May however it is possible to visit Underground River all year round.

Weather Conditions
Please be informed that this tour is subject to weather conditions. The park can be closed anytime due to excessive rain or rough seas.
When there’s inclement weather and you are not able to reschedule this trip for another day, then you will receive a full refund.
If weather suddenly changes on the way and we have to cancel the tour midway, you will receive a partial refund.

All last minute bookings (made on the same day or 3 days before the trip) must be made by telephone or email only.

Note that a tour may be canceled within 30 minutes prior to departure in the event of changing weather conditions.
