Tagaytay Ridge provides breathtaking panoramic views of Taal Lake and its volcano, making it one of the top destinations in the Philippines. Taal Lake is a unique natural wonder, featuring a lake within a volcano within a lake within a volcano. The production process of the iconic Jeepney, which has become a symbol of Filipino culture and art, can be witnessed firsthand by visiting a local factory. The overstuffed seats and unique, kitschy decorations that make Jeepneys the most popular form of public transportation in the Philippines are well recognized. The St. Joseph Parish Church is home to the Las Piñas Bamboo Organ, a one-of-a-kind 19th-century church organ featuring unique bamboo organ pipes. Built by Father Diego Cera, the first resident Catholic priest and builder of the town's stone church, the organ was completed in 1824 after six years of meticulous work.Taal Heritage Town, also known as the "little Vigan of the South," was the former capital of Batangas province until the largest eruption of Taal volcano in 1754 forced the entire town to relocate to a safer, higher location further away from the volcano. Despite this setback, the town continued to thrive during the Spanish era and is home to well-preserved ancestral homes of some of the country's bravest national heroes.
