Here are the details of our suggested sites to visit on our Port Barton Tour (Itinerary A):
Twin Reef is the most popular snorkeling spot in Port Barton. Located just 20 minutes away from the main beach, Twin Reef possesses an unexplainable beauty. The visibility is great due to the water’s unbelievable clarity and you can easily see the unending number of fishes swimming right in from of you.
Easily accessible from Maxima Island, Fantastic Reef provides habitat for a large variety of marine life. The snorkeling is incredible and you can expect to see crystalline aquamarine waters, both hard and soft corals as well as beautiful tropical fish.
Exotic Island is one of the most scenic islands in Port Barton. A unique feature of Exotic Island is that it’s connected to another island (Maxima Island) by a tombolo, a type of sandbar covered in shallow water. It’s one of the travellers’ favourite islands, thanks to its narrow channel where is possible to walk from one island to another.
A shallow channel separates Maxima Island from nearby Exotic Island. Also known as Double Island, Maxima Island features white sand beach and crystal clear waters. It’s also a good place for lounging on the beach and having a picnic lunch. Maxima Island together with Exotic Island is considered by many travellers to be one of the most Instagrammable spots in Port Barton
Port Barton is home to an array of marine life including marine turtles. On this tour, you will be taken to a spot where Green and Hawksbill turtles can be seen while snorkeling. Since these gentle creatures are on the endangered list, catching a glimpse of them will be an amazing experience.
The last stop on our tour is usually Starfish Island. It’s technically not an island, but rather a sandbar that emerges from the sea at low tide. It gets its name from the numerous starfishes that you’ll see clustered in its shallow waters.
