An exciting adventure that combines Pescador Island renewed for its abundant marine life and a unique Canyoneering experience in Kawasan.
Pescador Island is a rocky island located in the Tanon Strait, a few kilometers from the western coast of Cebu, in the municipality of Moalboal.
The island derives its name from the Philippines’ Spanish colonial heritage and the abundance of fish living on the surrounding coral reef, and the many fishermen that fish them (“pescador” translates from Spanish to “fisherman“).
The warm waters of Pescador Island harbor a very rich marine life, with over 2,500 species of fish.
Panagsama Beach in Moalboal is a unique destination where sardines congregate, forming huge schools right at the reef drop-off, just meters from shore. Here you can experience the “Sardine Run“. It’s a unique natural phenomenon with millions of sardines swirling around like a living wall.
Located 17km south of Moalboal, Kawasan Falls comprises a series of three waterfalls; the largest cascades 20m into a massive, milky-blue swimming hole.
Canyoneering is a real adventure Kawasan Falls. With this sport, you will explore the canyon either by trekking, jumping, rappelling and swimming. During the journey down in the canyon, there will be 4 jumps on the average 10-15 feet high (3-4 meters), except for one which is approx 40 feet high (12 metres).
