    Leave the bustle of Manila behind on this exciting day trip to Mount Pinatubo. Hike to Pinatubo Crater where you will be amazed by spectacular views.

    Early morning you will be collected from your hotel in Manila and driven to the jump-off point for Mount Pinatubo day trip hike and 4 wheel drive adventure.

    Drive an off-road vehicle along a river valley made of lahar — the mudflow from the volcano’s 1991 eruption. Then hike to the crater with free time to enjoy views of the emerald-colored lake.

    After following the same routes back to base camp, you’re rewarded with a Filipino-style lunch.

    After the tour head back to Manila and drop off at your hotel.


    Mt. Pinatubo is classified as a minor climb with a difficulty level of 2 and a trail class of 1. It’s a relatively easy and relaxed trek on flat terrain with gradual inclines. The trail is mostly loose sand/ash and a few river crossings.

    Weather Conditions

    This tour is weather dependent and may be subject to cancellations. In case we have to cancel the trip due to adverse weather conditions and you are not able to reschedule for another day, then you will receive a full refund.

    If weather suddenly changes on the way and we have to cancel the tour midway, you will receive a partial refund.


    Adults 60 years old and above and children 8 years old and below are not allowed to do the trek.

    Don’t go if you suffer from asthma, hypertension or heart condition because the trek can be strenuous especially the ascent to the rim of the crater lake.

    Best time to travel

    The best time to visit Mount Pinatubo is during the dry season from November to May. In the event of heavy rain and storm, this area might be prone to landslides and flooding.

    • Bring have enough rehydration liquids as the area is very hot and humid

    1. Full Day Pick up at 2.00am

      2:00am Pick up from your hotel in Manila.

      6:00am Arrive at Pinatubo registration office DENR and meet for the tour coordinator.

      6:30am Board 4X4 jeep and start ride to Moun Pinatubo jump off point.

      8:00am Arrive at the base of Mount Pinatubo. Start Trek

      10:00am Reach Pinatubo Crater. Rest and explore the area. Early lunch.

      12:00pm Start Descent

      2.00pm Arrive at jump-off point and continue to DERN by 4X4 jeep

      3.30pm Arrive at DENR, freshen up, depart for Manila

      5:00pm Depart for Manila

      8.30pm Estimated time of arrival at your hotel in Manila

    60 years old above should have a nurse as part of the DENRs policy. We can arrange the nurse for you at a surcharge.

    The trek itself is easy as it is very flat. The challenge is more of the heat and the length of the trek.
