Experience the Capital of the Philippines on this tour. Discover Manila’s heart and soul and see the locals going about their day-to-day life as you move from the financial center in Makati to the historical walled city Intramuros.
Manila set’s the archipelago’s rhythm and is the pulsating hub that blends the Oriental with the Occidental, the quaint with the modern, the day-to-day norm with the extraordinary.
The Makati Central Business District is the leading financial and central business district in the Philippines located at the heart of Makati in Metro Manila. Many of the skyscrapers in Metro Manila are in this area. The business district is also considered as one of the most vibrant commercial districts in Southeast Asia. It contains the Ayala Center, one of the region’s major shopping centers.
The American Cemetery and Memorial is dubbed to be the largest and most beautiful of American Memorial outside the Continental United States.
It occupies 152 acres on a prominent plateau, visible at a distance from the east, south and west. It contains the largest number of graves of military dead of World War II, most of whom lost their lives in operations in New Guinea and the Philippines.
Intramuros (the walled city) is the heart of Manila’s history. It features the grand Manila Cathedral with its detailed stone carvings and stained glass mosaics; Fort Santiago, the site of torture chambers and dungeons; and the favorite wedding spot, the San Agustin Church.
Fort Santiago is Intramuros’ premier tourist attraction: Within the fort grounds is an oasis of lovely manicured gardens, plazas and fountains leading to an arched gate and a pretty lily pond.
