After the wildlife safari, continue your adventure in Kinabalu Park, home to the richest and most diverse collection of exotic plants in the world.

Fly to the Philippines and head to Palawan, dubbed the “most beautiful island in the world” and home to spectacular natural wonders. Explore Puerto Princesa’s Underground River – the longest navigable underground river in the world, which is both a World Heritage Site UNESCO and one of the “New 7 Wonders of Nature,” is an exciting experience on one of the Philippines’ most popular islands.

  1. Day 1: Arrive Sandakan - Sepilok

    Pick up at Sandakan airport, transfer to your hotel in Sepilok. Check into your room after 2:00pm. The rest of the day is at leisure.
    Overnight stay at the lodge in Sukau.

  2. Day 2: Sepilok - Kinabatangan River

    This morning proceed to orangutan rehabilitation centre. Walk ten minutes on a boardwalk through the rainforest and watch the feeding of the orangutans from a platform in the forest. Return to the reception centre to view the displays and exhibits in the information centre.
    After Sepilok, drive about 2.5 hours through a rural area with many villages. Upon arrival at Sukau village, take a short boat ride to Borneo Nature Lodge. After a short orientation, you will have time to freshen up before lunch. In the late afternoon, take a scenic boat ride on the Kinabatangan River in search of wildlife – at dusk you can see an amazing variety of birds, monitor lizards, macaques and proboscis monkeys. Return to the lodge for dinner.

  3. Day 3: Kinabatangan River

    Awake by the calls of gibbon monkeys and the sounds of hornbills. Embark on another river cruise to Kelenanap Oxbow Lake for bird watching. Take a short jungle walk (weather permitting) and experience the wilds of Borneo before returning to the lodge for breakfast.
    The rest of the morning is free for you to explore the surrounding area or nearby villages. In the late afternoon, embark on another river cruise in search of wildlife.

  4. Day 4: Gomantong Caves - Kinabalu Park

    After breakfast, visit to the Gomantong Caves, known for their ”edible bird nests.” After Gomantong Caves, drive about 5 hours to Kinabalu Park. Arrive at the lodge in Poring and settle into your accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure.
    Overnight stay at the lodge in Poring Hot Springs.

  5. Day 5-6: Kinabalu Park - Fly to Puerto Princesa

    After breakfast, visit to Poring Hot Springs. Continue to the Canopy Walkway through the natural trails of the lowland forest. Observe wildlife and tropical rainforest from the canopy. You may be able to spot birds and butterflies flying below you. After lunch, drive from Poring to Kinabalu National Park. Guided walk to the mountain garden to see the rare collection of mountain plants and flowers.
    After the tour, transfer to Kota Kinabalu, the largest city in Borneo (about 2 hrs drive).
    Transfer to Kota Kinabalu airport and fly to Puerto Princesa, Palawan via Manila.
    Cebu Pacific flight schedule on Tuesday and Saturday only.

    Manila > Puerto Princesa DEP 08:05 AM / ARR 09:40 AM
    Upon arrival in Puerto Princesa, drive approximately 2 hours north to Sabang. Early check into your room and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

  6. Day 7: Underground River - El Nido

    After breakfast at the hotel proceed to the registration area at the wharf and wait for your assigned boat.
    When it is your turn, take a short boat ride to the entrance of Underground River National Park. Then board a park-operated canoe equipped with a searchlight and head down the Underground River. During the 1.5 km ride through the cave, you will see breathtaking stalactite and stalagmite formations.
    Return to the pier and have lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, transfer to El Nido by private vehicle (about 6 hours drive).
    Eroute stop at the Fort of Taytay; it was built in 1667 by the Spanish colonizers to protect the inhabitants from the fierce attacks of the Sulu warriors.
    Arrive in El Nido and check into your hotel.

  7. Day 8: El Nido Tour A

    Discover the most beautiful natural sights of El Nido on this popular full-day boat tour. You’ll visit several islands and beaches, including the stunning Miniloc Island’s Big Lagoon, the Secret Lagoon, Shimizu Island and the 7 Commandos Beach.
    Snorkel among tropical fishes, soak up the sun on the beach, or explore the lagoon by kayak.

  8. Day 9: El Nido Tour C

    Spend another day exploring El Nido’s Bacuit Bay by boat. Sail to some of the most scenic islands with secluded beaches of Bacuit Bay such as Secret Beach, Hidden Beach, Matinloc Shrine, Tapiutan Island, and Helicopter Island.
    Once on the islands, spend your time snorkeling among colorful tropical fish and relaxing on clean sandy beaches.

  9. Day 10: El Nido- Coron

    Today, take the Montenegro Fast Craft to Coron at 12:00 noon. The crossing between El Nido and Coron takes about 4 hours.
    Arrive at the port of Coron and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

  10. Day 11: Coron Island Tour

    Venture on a full-day tour to Coron Island on a motorized bangka boat. Visit Kayangan Lake, the clearest lake in the Philippines, and Barracuda Lake, known for its thermocline and unique underwater rock formations. Then, sail to Twin Lagoons, a vast expanse of turquoise water surrounded by towering limestone cliffs.
    Along the way, you can snorkel at Siete Pecados Marine Park and Coral Garden. These spectacular sites are teeming with marine life and colorful corals.
    Continue on to CYC Beach and Beach 91, where you can have lunch and relax before reboarding and sailing to Skeleton Wreck, a Japanese ship that lies in water so shallow that snorkelers and freedivers can see it.

  11. Day 12: Coron Island Hopping

    Set sail off the coast of Coron and arrive at Malcapuya Island after a 1.5-hour boat ride. Enjoy the beautiful beach with powder white sand and turquoise waters. Board the boat and head to Ditaytayan Island. After lunch, swim and snorkel in the crystalline waters until you board the boat to another island. Finally, head to Bulog Dos Island and walk on the long winding sandbar through the clear aquamarine waters.

  12. Day 13: Depart Coron

    Check-out from the hotel at 12:00 pm and transfer to Coron-Busuanga airport.
