Best Islands in Cebu

Bantayan Island

👉 Getting there: From Cebu-Mactan International Airport, you can travel by land for around 4–5 hours to Hagnaya Port, followed by a ferry to Santa Fe. There is also a direcf light from Mactan to Bantayan which takes around 30 minutes and is a faster alternative.
Sumilon Island
Located off the coast of Oslob in southern Cebu, Sumilon Island is a stunning tropical paradise known for its clear blue waters, white-sand beaches and vibrant marine sanctuary.
The island is a favourite among divers, with rich coral reefs and abundant marine life. Its shifting sandbar, which changes shape with the seasons, adds to its unique beauty.
Visitors can enjoy swimming, diving and relaxing on the beach, with the option to stay overnight at Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort or visit for the day.
👉 Getting there: From Cebu-Mactan International Airport, travel around 4 hours by land to Oslob, followed by a 10–15-minute boat ride to the island.
Camotes Islands
The Camotes Islands, east of Cebu, offer a quiet, off-the-beaten-path escape with white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and a laid-back atmosphere. The name “Camotes” comes from the local sweet potatoes grown in the area.
Top activities include swimming, relaxing on the beach and exploring local villages. Most resorts and guesthouses are around Santiago Bay on Pacijan Island.
👉 Getting there: From Cebu-Mactan International Airport, travel to Liloan Port and take a Super Shuttle Ferry to the islands. The crossing takes around 4 hours.
Mactan Island
Mactan Island, just across the bridge from Cebu City, is home to Mactan-Cebu International Airport, one of the main gateways to the Central Philippines.
Known for its history, white-sand beaches and vibrant marine life, Mactan is a favourite with both local and international travellers.
